Now that's what I was going to say!
So I'm on a little bit of a political kick. I'm utterly fascinated by the democratic race, which is funny because I've been a republican most of my life. Well, I had thought a day or so ago that I should create an entry about how the Democrats in general as well as their National Committee should proceed over the next few months. Fortunately, my favorite political columnist, Peggy Noonan, summed up many of my thoughts on yesterday's column in the Wall Street Journal. To add my two cents (instead of my typical 20), the Democrats would be wise to jettison the polarizing, established and older candidate (and admittedly the one I really don't want to get the nomination), for the young, fresh candidate who at least has an ounce of a chance to unite the country (and their party). This doesn't even factor in that the latter, Obama, is ahead in polls going head to head against McCain. Clinton is behind. If Clinton became president, we will have a polarizing president who shares the same party with the legislative branch. We've recently had about 6 years of that ('00-'06) and there are many who would say that wasn't a good thing. With Obama, at least he speaks of unity and has a personality that might make it happen. It's impossible with Clinton. The super delegates in their party need to think about this before they pledge to Clinton.
