Helmet Laws

OK, I'm not a rider. There are times when I wish I had a bike, but I don't. Last night on the news, I learned that North Carolina is now trying to restrict the type of helmet that can be worn. Not whether or not a helmet is required, but the TYPE of helmet that is required. In question was whether a "Skull Cap," as I believe they are called, should remain legal. There are deeper questions about civil liberties here, but the question that I had was ... I wonder if those who believe in Darwin's THEORY of evolution are more likely to be against this?
